Follow signs to the baggage claim area. Exit outside, cross the street and go up to the second floor of the parking garage to the Preferred kiosk.
General Directions
AIRLINE PASSENGERS Follow signs to the baggage claim area. Exit outside and cross the street to the Consolidated Rental Car Facility. The Avis rental counter is located on the first level of the parking garage.,WALK-UP RENTERS Follow airport signs stating "Arrivals" and "Rental Car Return." The "Rental Car Return" signs will lead you directly to the rental counter. The Consolidated Rental Car Facility is located on the 1st floor of the Parking Garage.
After-hours Returns
The rental counter is open 5 AM to 1 AM, but the return area is only staffed from 4 AM to 11 PM. When the return area is unattended, please pull forward to park the car, note the date and time on the rental agreement and leave it with the keys in the cupholder. If no receipt is required, proceed to the elevators or stairs for return to the terminal. If a receipt is required, please visit Avis.com and use the e-receipt option. Remember to take all your personal belongings with you.

Debit Card Policies

We accept Visa Debit cards and Mastercard Debit cards. We don¿t accept Maestro, Electron or any pre-paid cards, even if they carry the Visa or Mastercard logo.

Drivers License

Must be issued at least 12 months prior to rental.
Avis Greece can accept a National Driving License if the driver holds a valid driving license from: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland & United Kingdom.

Avis Greece can accept a National Driving License but with Latin Characters if the driver holds a valid driving license from: Albania, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Canada, Central African Republic, Chile, Congo, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, FYROM, Georgia, Ghana, Guyana, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Ivory Coast, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Mexico, Moldova, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Nigeria, Northern Ireland, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, Seychelles, South Africa, South Korea, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vietnam & Zimbabwe.


Avis Prestige Fleet

The driving license must be issued:

1 year for groups A, B, C, D, F, G, K, N, O
5 years for all other car groups.

Public Liability and Property Damage

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Additional Fees

After Hours Information:
If the renter wants to pick-up a car during out of office hours, he must request this at the time of reservation. The charge for out of hours service is EUR 23 excluding VAT.

Prestige Fleet
If the renter wants to pick-up a car during out of office hours, he must request this at the time of reservation. The charge for out of hours service is EUR 30 excluding VAT.

Outside Office Hours Fee For Avis Prestige Rentals
There is a 30.00 EUR fee excl. VAT for rentals outside office hours or when the location is closed.


Age Requirements

At this location the minimum age is 21 for all car groups, except for the following: minimum age is 25 for car groups L and P.  A Young Driver fee will apply to drivers between the ages of 21 and 24.  The Young Driver fee of 10.00 EUR per day per driver, with a maximum 10 day fee of 100.00 EUR per rental per driver. There is no upper age limit as long as there is a valid driving license.
For Avis Prestige renter and driver must be 21 years old for car group A, B and C and 25 years old for all other car groups.

Please note that if you are permitted to take the vehicle outside of Greece, it is your responsibility to make sure you comply with legal requirements applicable in the relevant country/countries you travel in.

There must be a written approval by Avis Greece at the start of the rental (not just by the booking process). 

The renter is obliged to return the car to Greece.

The driver must have the new type of driving license (in Latin characters).
